Portuguese Refugee Council defends and promotes the right of asylum in Portugal, through:
1- direct and free, independent and impartial support, made by the various departments specifically aimed at applicants and beneficiaries of international protection with the objectives of guaranteeing access to international protection and training this population for integration, respectively;
2- the initial and transitory reception of applicants for international protection and refugees resettled in the Refugee Reception Centers, located in Bobadela and São João da Talha and the Reception Center for Refugee Children;
3- advocacy with government entities, in order to fulfill the vision and values described below;
4- information, awareness and training actions, contributing to a more informed and receptive society to refugees.
